Easy Poha Dumplings Recipe For Quick And Healthy Breakfast

If you’re bored of eating the same breakfast every day, here’s something fun, quick, and healthy to spice things up—Poha Dumplings! They’re soft, flavorful, and made with simple ingredients you already have at home.
What’s even better? They need no fancy prep, get ready in under 30 minutes, and taste delicious—especially with that final tempering!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 cup Poha (flattened rice)
- ½ cup Rava (semolina)
- ½ cup Curd
- 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp each of Turmeric, Red Chilli, Coriander Powder, and Chaat Masala
- A pinch of Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Oil
- Salt to taste
- Chopped Green Chillies & Fresh Coriander
For tempering (optional but yum):
- Mustard seeds
- Jeera
- Sesame seeds
- Whole red chillies
How to Make It:
- Soak & Mix: Take thick poha and rinse it well. Let it sit for 10 mins. Add rava, curd, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, and all the spices—preferably Chukde’s natural Haldi, Mirch, Dhania, and Chaat Masala for a real flavor punch.
- Mash & Shape: No water needed—just mash everything with your hands until it forms a soft dough. Shape into small dumplings.
- Steam: Steam for 10–15 minutes. They’ll puff up and turn soft yet firm.
- Tadka Time (Optional): Heat oil, add mustard seeds, jeera, til, and red chillies. Toss the dumplings in this sizzling tempering. Finish with fresh coriander.
And that’s it—your fluffy, spicy Poha Dumplings are ready! Have them as-is for a healthy bite or give them that crunchy tadka for extra oomph.
