Origin

Green Elaichi or Green Cardamom is known as the Queen of Spices native to Southern India. Elaichi belongs to the ginger family and is an aromatic herb with a strong smell. Each Cardamom pod contains a row of small black seeds that can be used separately in whole or powdered form.

It has a strong aroma similar to clove, and a sweet and spicy flavour - a combination of ginger and cinnamon.
