Craving something chatpata but don’t want to deep fry? This Stuffed Aloo Dahi Vade is your new go-to snack. It’s cool, comforting, and totally guilt-free – no oil bath needed! The best part? You can make it in just 20 minutes with everyday ingredients and a few flavorful touches from Chukde spices.

Let’s Talk Prep

Start with making a delicious potato filling. In hot oil, add Chukde jeera and rai – the aroma hits instantly! Then toss in some mashed boiled potatoes. Spice it up with Chukde turmeric powder, Kashmiri lal mirch powder, garam masala, and a pinch of salt. Want to go fancy? Add chopped dry fruits – totally optional, but add a nice bite. Let this cool down.

Now, take your bread slices, cut the edges, dip them briefly in water, and squeeze out excess moisture. Place a spoonful of that aloo masala in the center, wrap it up, and roll it into a smooth round ball. It’ll look just like a dahi vada – but crispy-free!

Chill these beauties in the fridge for a few minutes, then serve them with chilled curd, green chutney, sweet chutney, Chukde chaat masala, roasted jeera powder, boondi, and fresh coriander. That’s it – no frying, no stress, just flavor.

FAQs

Can I make this recipe ahead of time?

Yes! Prepare the bread vadas and refrigerate. Just assemble with curd and chutneys before serving.

What can I use instead of bread?

You can try it with flattened leftover rotis or puffed rice, but bread gives the best shape and holds well.

Are dry fruits necessary?

Not at all. They just add a royal touch. Skip if you like it simpler.

Can this be served as a chaat?

Absolutely! Load it up with curd, chutneys, masalas, and enjoy it like your favorite street-style dahi bhalla.
