Punjabi Mutton Curry is rich, flavorful, and made with bold spices that bring out the best taste of tender meat. This recipe uses Chukde Masalas for authentic flavor and perfect balance of spices.
Ingredients
- Mustard Oil – 1/4 cup
- Mutton – 600 g (cut into pieces)
- Onions – 2 (sliced)
- Ginger-Garlic Paste – 3.5 tbsp
- Tomato Puree – 250 ml
- Salt – to taste
- Chukde Meat Masala – 2.5 tsp
- Chukde Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Water – 125 ml
Method
- Heat mustard oil in a pan on medium heat.
- Add mutton pieces and cook for 8–10 minutes until browned.
- Add sliced onions and cook for 25–30 minutes until caramelized.
- Mix in ginger-garlic paste, sauté for 1 minute.
- Add tomato puree and salt. Mix well.
- Sprinkle Chukde Meat Masala and Chukde Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder. Cook for 7–8 minutes until oil separates.
- Pour 125 ml water, cover, and cook for 45 minutes until the mutton is soft and juicy.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
