Featured Blog Turmeric or Haldi has been in use in India since ancient times and is one of the most commonly used spices in our cooking. But the miracle spice has innumerable uses, and we are going to share a few of those unusual ones with you. Make notes!

Bug Bites –
If bug bites and have made you scratch your skin, stop that itch with some Haldi. Just apply a paste of Haldi and aloe vera for a soothing feel and to avoid getting rashes.

Sleep issues –
Have sleepless nights? If you suffer from insomnia, make a habit of drinking a warm glass of milk mixed with a pinch of turmeric before going to bed. For those who can drink milk, try making Turmeric Tea - 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder in 4 cups of water. Add honey and ginger to add flavour.

Acne* –
We all have tried dadi ma ke nuskhe for our skincare and applied Haldi-based skin packs. Antioxidants in turmeric help to give your skin a glow. But another benefit of turmeric is that it helps in controlling and curing acne, due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Regularly apply a paste made from honey and turmeric to see the effect.

Yellow Teeth –
Haldi is also helpful in making that smile of yours even more beautiful. Sprinkle a little bit of turmeric on your toothpaste while brushing for sparkling and brightening your teeth.

Makeup Tricks -
Adding Turmeric to your moisturizer before applying it to your face can help even out your skin tone. You can try doing this with pinker shades foundation or concealers too. Make sure to use only a little bit and do a patch test to see if it suits you.

Haldi produces a chemical called curcumin which is what gives it the yellow colour and is also the reason for its multiple benefits. To get the maximum benefit from your Haldi, make sure you are buying the right product. At Chukde Spices, we give you the Haldi with a 3.25% curcumin presence. Choose the finest option for yourself.
