Sendha Namak also known as Rock Salt, usually occurs within sedimentary rocks formed by the evaporation of seawater or salty lake water. Rock salt is considered to be the purest form of all salts and holds much significance in Ayurveda. It is the only salt consumed during Navratri fasting.
Sendha Namak has a strong salty and slightly savoury taste.
Sendha Namak is a common replacement to regular table salt but is considered more nutritious due to traces of various minerals found in it. From seasoning salads and soups to being added while cooking vegetables, it is used just like common salt. Since it is considered purest due to lack of any pollutants, this is the recommended and preferred salt during Navratris and other religious occasions.
• Chukde Sendha Namak is a natural salt procured from the best Salt mines, making sure you get the optimum minerals for your body.
